the cabin game Boo Factory

Spend candy on looks, lobby pets, and treats. Do not spend it on wrecking a first escape.

Boo Factory in the cabin game

The Boo Factory is the in-game store for the cabin game. Candy is the currency. You spend it on character cosmetics, lobby pets, and tricks ‘n treats that mess with friends. None of those purchases shove the monster pawn, identify the escape room, or raise your frame rate. They are the social layer around a 1–4 player Early Access loop on Steam Windows.

The game entered Early Access on 27 August 2026. English interface and full audio only; localization is planned. List price is $11.99 USD. The current build is 30+ cards and 12 monsters. The Factory is already in that build. The roadmap says the store will keep expanding, with Halloween and Christmas yearly events planned as extra surface — not as the only way to finish a run.

This page is the buyer’s guide. For how treats wreck a learning table, stay next to Co-op. For official store, Discord, and email, use Links. Press M in-game if a treat prompt is unclear; the tip overlay beats a grief argument mid-chase.

What candy actually buys

Character cosmetics change how your body looks at the table and in first person. Hats, outfits, and lobby flair sit here. They do not change investigation. They do not make Attic Stalker miss. Buy them because you like the silhouette, not because a streamer implied a hidden stat.

Lobby pets occupy the social space before you sit down to deal. They are conversation pieces. They are not tools. A pet will not watch the clock track for you. Assign a human caller in co-op; assign yourself a glance every sit in solo.

Tricks ‘n treats are the PvP-inside-co-op layer. They exist to mess with friends: startle, blind, displace, or otherwise break someone else’s concentration while the cabin is already trying to kill you. That is funny on a night when the group has already escaped once and asked for chaos. It is how you donate a wipe on a first learning run.

Candy you earn in current sessions should still matter later; Twisted Corridor has not described a currency wipe. Spend or save with that in mind, but do not hoard under the fantasy that 1.0 will convert unused candy into a perk. Player backgrounds (perks) are a separate roadmap item.

Do not grief the first learning run

A first session has enough opaque systems. Clues are not tutorialised. Event minigames are poorly explained. Neighbour can crash. Cutting Corner asks you to wait until the man turns. Musical rooms now involve popcorn balls and a giant monkey. Dropping a treat on the person holding the notebook, or on the runner in an attic chase, converts a teachable loss into a rage quit — and you are still on the same monster pawn.

House rule that matches the store’s own social contract:

  • Learning run: cosmetics and pets only. Tricks stay on the shelf. One player calls the clock. Press M. Unlock rooms, then investigate.
  • Second escape or later: treats allowed if the table says so out loud before the shuffle. No surprise grief during Cutting Corner, Sick of Being Dead, Neighbour darkness, or Attic Stalker.
  • Solo: treats have nobody to mess with. Do not spend candy hoping a trick skips a time-skip card. It will not.

If someone is new, they are in a carry. Teach sit/stand, M, and the notebook before you teach trolling. A carried player who learns to call the clock is worth more than a veteran with a treat bound in The Garden Shed. Full job splits live on Co-op.

Expanding store, holidays, and what is not here yet

The roadmap names an expanding Boo Factory stocked with more goodies over time. Treat that as a live catalogue, not a second game mode. Halloween and Christmas are planned as large yearly events. The announcement did not stamp a first holiday date relative to 27 August 2026, and it did not list limited cards or catch-up rules. Assume cosmetics and Factory stock will lean on those seasons. Assume some event rules may only exist while a theme is live. Do not skip a normal Early Access night because it is not October.

Achievements are also planned and are not the reason to farm candy tonight. Localization is planned and will not arrive as a hat. Unique progress cards are planned and will not be sold next to lobby pets. Keep those columns separate or you will look for a Halloween chase in a hotfix that only added a clock slider. The roadmap is the list; patch notes are what already shipped.

The First Round Patch did not restock the Factory. It added a clock audio slider, made Attic Stalker more forgiving, removed monkey collision so he does not block narrow halls, adjusted popcorn balls, made the FPS cap apply, made totems droppable, unstuck AI, reduced chase speed, and maybe fixed the forest teleport. Buy cosmetics after your mix is playable. A new hat on a screaming clock is still a screaming clock. Tune settings first.

Candy is not a tool (and this page still belongs here)

This hub is for session-killing questions: mix, specs, notebooks, and now the store so you do not treat it like a hidden progression tree. Candy does not:

  • shove the monster pawn (Lifesaver Cards do that)
  • name the escape room (investigation does that)
  • connect The Cellar to a hallway (Room Cards do that)
  • fix Neighbour crashes (Discord reports do that)
  • cap FPS (the graphics menu does that)

Spend candy for flavour. Spend the deck for the run. If a friend insists a trick is “part of learning,” they are asking to play a different social game. Set the rule before the first shuffle, the same way you set Low graphics and a polite clock slider.

When Steam news or Discord announces a Factory restock, start from the official channels on Links, then come back here so this wiki can name the new item without turning a patch note into a rumour. Until then, the current Factory is cosmetics, pets, and treats. That is already enough rope to hang a learning run. Do not.

Play remains 1–4 online co-op or solo. English-only in-game. $11.99 list. More stock is coming; the cabin you built tonight still has to be escaped with cards, not with candy.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about cards, clues, monsters, and escaping the cabin.

What is the Boo Factory?

The in-game store. Candy buys character cosmetics, lobby pets, and tricks 'n treats that mess with friends. It does not move the clock track or identify the escape room.

Should I use tricks 'n treats on a first run?

No. Save grief for a lobby that has already escaped and asked for chaos. A treat during Cutting Corner or an attic chase is how you wipe a learning table. See Co-op.

Will the store get more items?

Yes. The roadmap calls out an expanding Boo Factory plus Halloween and Christmas yearly events. No public calendar date was attached to the first holiday.

Does candy reset at 1.0?

Twisted Corridor has not described a wipe. Treat candy as persistent until a patch note says otherwise.

Can cosmetics help me escape?

No. Looks and pets are lobby flavour. Rooms, investigation, and lifesavers win runs. Settings and the First Round Patch matter more than a hat.

Where do I find official store and Discord links?

On the Links Hub. This wiki is unofficial and does not sell candy, keys, or cosmetics.
